Come back stronger than before and prevent future injuries.

ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE SPECIALIST

If you are an active athlete, whether professionally or just on Tuesday nights with friends, a soft tissue injury is a real possibility. Soft tissue injuries happen when the muscle becomes overused, resulting in spasms, scar tissue building up around the tendons, and even partial or complete tears. Soft Tissue injuries are also very delicate to treat and need to be taken care of with great diligence and care. Active Release Technique is the gold standard in soft tissue therapy and just what you need to get rid of that pain so you can get back to enjoying what you love.

MCKENZIE METHOD THERAPIST

The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT) is an internationally researched and acclaimed system of assessment and management for spinal and extremity musculoskeletal disorders developed by New Zealand Physiotherapist Robin McKenzie. It has been widely used all over the world with great success for more than 60 years.

A key feature of the method is the initial assessment - a safe and reliable format to reach an accurate classification and then develop the appropriate management plan, taking into account all the various factors that can influence the patient’s experience of pain. Expensive tests such as MRI’s are often unnecessary.

DRY NEEDLING SPECIALIST (*Dr. Kinsella only)

Dry needling therapy is a modern, evidence-based treatment designed to alleviate muscle pain and restore function. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling uses fine needles that are inserted into specific trigger points within the muscle tissue. The purpose is to break up knots and alleviate tightness that may contribute to chronic pain or restricted movement. By stimulating the muscle and influencing the nervous system, it helps reduce inflammation and promotes faster recovery. Patients often experience immediate relief from muscle pain, improved flexibility, and faster recovery times.
